Barcelona Smart City Expo<\/a>\u00a017-19 November 2015 is the world’s leading smart city congress, where 400 of the most innovative and influential smart city thinkers will gather together to share knowledge, present visions and highlight opportunities on how we will create efficient, economically viable, sustainable and livable cities.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The six biggest cities in Finland (Helsinki, Turku, Tampere, Oulu, Espoo, Vantaa) will be showcasing their smart city expertice in the exhibition area<\/a> together with Tekes, Finpro \/ Invest in Finland and a group of companies from Finland.<\/p>\n

Barcelona Smart City Expo<\/a> is the world’s leading smart city congress.\u00a0It’s a chance to connect, reach and build relationships with the most innovative and influential smart city thinkers and doers from around the world. Last year, it attracted more than 10.000 visitors from 92 countries.<\/p>\n

This year’s conference has again an extensive programme with over 400 speakers, including keynotes like Beth Simone Noveck, Edward Glaeser, Pankaj Ghemawat and Juliana Rotich. See all the speakers here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The conference has a massive 20,000m2 exhibition<\/a> venue which provides the perfect spot to connect, exchange ideas and get inspired.\u00a0The six biggest cities in Finland (Helsinki, Turku, Tampere, Oulu, Espoo, Vantaa) will be showcasing their smart city expertise at the Finnish Pavilion (D425)\u00a0together with Tekes, Finpro \/ Invest in Finland and a group of innovative companies. Smart Kalasatama has it’s groovy map available at the Finnish pavillion. The map visualises\u00a0current smart city services in the area, as well as upcoming innovations and those not seen by the eye.<\/p>\n

Smart Kalasatama’s\u00a0work is showcased\u00a0also by the overall theme of the stand: One more hour a\u00a0day (25\/7). It’s is the same vision as we have, the one we created<\/a> together with\u00a0local residents and other stakeholders for the area. Time is city residents\u2019 most precious and valuable resource.\u00a0It\u00a0is spent daily on queuing up, grocery shopping and commuting. Smart services improve both quality of life and time management.<\/p>\n
