Kalasatama Urban Lab

Kalasatama Urban Lab

The entire district of Kalasatama is a laboratory for new solutions piloted in Helsinki, and the Kalasatama Urban Lab space located in REDI shopping centre offers a place where stakeholders’ events and networking can be organised.

Kalasatama Urban Lab is:

A space for co-creation
Kalasatama Urban Lab is a cosy space where thoughts are free to roam and ideas can be crystallised. Smart everyday living and the ongoing development in the  area is showcased. The space can accommodate 15–30 for a workshop. The space is equipped with whiteboards and movable tables and chairs, as well as a separate smaller workshop room.

An arena for climate-friendly and smart events
Kalasatama Urban Lab can be used to host public and private events. The space can accommodate up to 60 people, and it is equipped with a large screen, a presentation computer and a sound system.

Smart living showroom
You can see both agile pilots implemented in Kalasatama and the infrastructure supporting smart solutions as well as new climate-friendly and smart living innovations built on top of it. The showroom is especially suited for visits by international groups.

The ‘super flexi-space’ for independent use

The space is equipped with a smart lock and its independent use is facilitated by further developing additional services and new solutions, allowing for monitoring of the space and utilisation of the data generated.

Please contact us if you are interested in organising events at Kalasatama Urban Lab promoting smart and climate-friendly living and urban development.
