Kalasatama Flexi Spaces service has started

In Kalasatama Smart City district of Helsinki Kalasatama Flexi Spaces, a new flex space service, is being tested. More efficient and flexible use of spaces offers possibilities for many different user groups from start-ups, entrepreneurs and remote workers to groups of active citizens, and temporary pop-up activities. In Kalasatama Smart City, more efficient and flexible use of various premises is one corner stone of the smart city concept. Kotisatama: Housing Community for Elderly People

The community occupies a nine story building with 63 flats and circa 500 sq. metres of common area including a spacious roof terraces and two smaller terraces on the 8. and 7. floors. In Kalasatama Smart City district of Helsinki Kalasatama Flexi Spaces, a new flex space service is being tested. More efficient and flexible use of spaces offers possibilities for many different user groups from start-ups, entrepreneurs and remote workers to groups of active citizens, and temporary pop-up activities. Autumn 2016 pilots: Auntie and KuntoKaverit

Kalasatama is undergoing a transformation to become the smartest district in Helsinki. The first four innovations have been piloted during spring 2016. The next round of agile pilots introduces Auntie Solutions and KuntoKaverit. The pilots will start next autumn. These innovative services utilize technology and enhance the physical and mental wellbeing of citizens. The new pilots were chosen among 37 offers.

Nordic Cities Workshop on Regional Cohesion in Climate Action and Innovation

28 – 29 April 2016, Malmö Climate-KIC Nordic Cities Workshop welcomes city planners, city strategists and climate specialists from all of Europe, and from all sectors of society, to engage with the Climate-KIC community in inspirational deliberation on coordinated climate action, and on coalition-building with an eye to project funding opportunities. The event concentrates on two challenges within regional collaboration: Mobility and the Built Environment.
